New sections on IWGIA's website:
Thematic Focus: Thematic Focus puts focus on different issues of importance to indigenous peoples. The theme will follow IWGIA's publication Indigenous Affairs, which is published three to four times a year. The Thematic Focus 1/2006 is Millennium Development Goals and Indigenous Peoples.
International and National Policies: In this section you can find information about and links to various international human rights instruments of importance to indigenous peoples as well as policies/strategies dealing specifically with indigenous peoples.
Country Profiles: The country profile on Greenland is now on the website. The country profiles contain extensive information on indigenous peoples and issues affecting the indigenous peoples in selected countries.
IWGIA strategies: It is now possible to find the strategies guiding IWGIA's project work in the different regions.

International processes:
On June 29, 2006 the Human Rights Council adopted by a roll-call vote of 30 in favour to 2 against and 12 abstentions a resolution on the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Read more about the adoption of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
