Botswana: Bushmen win land ruling
December 2006 December 13, 2006 the Bushmen from the Central Kalahari Game Reserve won a landmark legal case. The court ruled that the Botswana government's eviction of the Bushmen was 'unlawful and unconstitutional'. This ruling is not only of great importance to the Bushmen in Botswana but can also potentially have importance for other indigenous peoples in Africa fighting against land evictions and dispossessions.

Botswana: CKGR Court Case Coming to an End
May 2006
The evidence presented in the court case filed in the beginning of 2002 by the San organisation, the First People of the Kalahari (FPK), on behalf of residents of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR), has finally finished. A decision on the outcome of the court case is expected within the next few months.
