When it comes to the SDGs, data collection and indigenous peoples, Cæcilie Mikkelsen is IWGIA’s expert. She is the coordinator of the Indigenous Navigator Initiative in IWGIA and part of the Global Governance team, where she focuses on indigenous peoples’ rights in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable  Development. In IWGIA she has previously been the editor of The Indigenous World and other publications, and she contributes actively to organizational development and fundraising. Cæcilie holds a Master’s Degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, with specialization in Amazonian sociality, indigenous peoples, gender and natural resource management.
