Marianne Wiben Jensen is our in-house expert on land rights in Africa and team coordinator of IWGIA’s programme on land rights and territorial self-governance. Marianne manages IWGIA’s land rights projects in Africa. As an expert member of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations/Communities of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR), she has been working closely with the African Commission on the issues of indigenous peoples for many years. As a Cultural Sociologist, graduated from the University of Copenhagen, she is specialised in human rights and women's right in Africa.
