Perú Equidad works to influence and implement the national and international regulatory framework for indigenous rights, in continuous dialogue with the indigenous peoples. Its mission is to create the tools with which to guarantee their rights, strengthening restitution mechanisms while calling for mitigation of the impacts of policies and economic activities that violate those rights.

Respecting the right to self-determination, and with the support of international organisations such as the International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs (IWGIA), the Coordinación por Derechos de los Pueblos Indígenas (CODPI) and others, Perú EQUIDAD implements intervention strategies in the fields of research, documentation, dissemination, advocacy, institutional strengthening, skills development and strategic litigation.
