Miscellaneous Information

Miscellaneous Information:

CHIRAPAQ is a community-based organisation in Peru with members from indigenous communities. It acts through four programmes of work: the Indigenous Women’s Programme, the Food Sovereignty and Security Programme, the Ñoqanchiq Programme and the Political and Cultural Advocacy Programme. In this way, it is seeking to take on the challenge of ensuring the integrated development of the Andean and Amazonian peoples in an interdisciplinary manner.

Taking an intercultural and intergenerational approach, CHIRAPAQ endeavours to generate proposals and implement actions aimed at achieving full exercise of the individual and collective rights of indigenous peoples. CHIRAPAQ supports the indigenous movement, guiding it by means of principles of reciprocity, solidarity, mutual respect and complementarity.
