Samburu Women Trust is an indigenous women driven organisation whose key mandate is to raise the voice and status of local Samburu women, and to spearhead local initiatives aimed at securing human and/or women rights and safety for local women and the girl child.

It was founded in 2006 by a young group of women from Samburu together with local women leaders and representatives. Samburu Women Trust facilitates processes that empower and promote women’s human rights, capacity building, human rights advocacy and securing a prosperous future through women development programmes in Isiolo, Laikipia, Samburu and Marsabit County.
