Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) is one of the largest networking umbrella organisations in Nepal with 56 indigenous groups, 7 national level sister organizations, 71 District Coordination Council (DCC) members and more than 25.000 Village Coordination Council (VCC) members at the local level. NEFIN has been working in coordination with its district and village chapters at the ground.

NEFIN has successfully engaged in various national-level advocacy processes and gained recognition by the government and civil society as the main representative organisation of indigenous peoples in Nepal. NEFIN has played a key role in indigenous rights advocacy in the national REDD+ process over the past four years.
