European Network on Indigenous Peoples

Miscellaneous Information

Miscellaneous Information:

European Network on Indigenous Peoples (ENIP) consists of five member organisations who collectively strive to ensure that all European actors fulfill, respect and protect the rights of indigenous peoples globally. The members involved in ENIP have worked together for many years, collaborating on different project areas, including advocacy around the drafting of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

ENIP’s first key meeting with a European focus took place in Brussels in March 2013, and ENIP had its founding meeting at the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in May 2013. The first joint activity was a meeting organised at the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples Preparatory Conference in Alta in June 2013.
