Indigenous Affairs 1/01 - Racism
This issue of Indigenous Affairs focuses on the racism and discrimination faced by indigenous peoples around the world. The first article focuses on global perspectives and international developments. There then follow articles on the situation of indigenous peoples in the United States, in Australia, in Asia in general and in India in particular. The journal also provides articles on the particular discrimination suffered by indigenous women in Latin America and by the indigenous Forest Peoples of Central Africa. IWGIA hopes that the documentation and recommendations contained in these articles may be of use for those indigenous peoples, human rights activists and others who are active in the preparations for the WCAR at various levels, and that the articles will be a useful source of information for all those interested in the issue in general.
